New Mobile Apps to Increase Productivity
Feb 14, 2013
Windows and Blackberry have both launched new phones and operating systems in hopes of once again becoming relevant in the mobile phone industry. Samsung and HTC continue to put out better smartphones that are starting to derail Apple’s dominance with the iPhone. I recently purchased the new Samsung Galaxy Note, a combination of phone and tablet, which has been a game changer for how I do business everyday.
Also launching are new, profound applications to help you achieve greater productivity than ever. Here are a few new must-haves that all salespeople need to consider:
Evernote: Ever note is a to-do list on steroids. It allows you to put everything in one place; notes, images, documents, web clips and audio notes all in one spot. Unlike Dropbox, everything is visible. Evernote syncs across all devices and has a super powerful search feature that allows you to find what you're looking for quickly.
Xfinity Wi-Fi: This new application finds Wi-Fi locations and coordinates with maps so that wherever you are, you can get to the nearest free Wi-Fi spot available.
Fox Wi-Fi: This game-changing application allows you to convert your phone into an immediate Wi-Fi hot spot for free (does not work with iPhones or Sprint services). Throw away your hot spot card and cancel your internet service at home! Fox Wi-Fi works off of 4G and if you have unlimited data plans you will save a lot of money and have Wi-Fi available all of the time.
Magic Plan: A must for commercial real estate agents. This application allows you to make quick space plans using your iPhone or iPad as a measuring device. Plans can be created with square footage measurements, while offices, conference rooms and kitchens can be added to the plan with ease. Magic Plan is a great way to create an immediate plan ahead of a space planning session with an architect and is also useful if you don't have a space plan and need one without the cost of hiring an architect.
Boxcar: Receive your notifications from Facebook to Twitter to your local news feeds all in one place with Boxcar. Instead of visiting each site or pulling down menus and navigating multiple feeds go to Boxcar and they are all there.
Check out the above applications now. If your phone service provider does not offer the program my guess is that there is a similar application available to compete against them.
Get ready to make your life a lot more efficient and a lot more productive.
