DERBY OF SAN FRANCISCO, 1978 - 1983
In 1978, led the purchase of Derby, a men's and boy's apparel manufacturer, and served as president. Tripled company sales from $2 million to $6 million and increased company profits from $75,000 to over $350,000. Added a women's division which produced over $1 million in volume. Developed a new inventory control system which reduced expenses by 11%. Established new relationships for the company with several important accounts such as Eddie Bauer, Macy's National, Rochester Big & Tall, Cable Car Clothiers. Supervised all aspects of the business including finance, manufacturing, product development, sales and marketing.
ROUGH RIDER INC, 1956 - 1977
Served in a variety of functions and became president of this men's apparel business in 1972. Developed The Sport Coat Division, which started a new product line for the company. This division became the company's largest volume producer. Also dealt in finance, inventory control, product development, sales and marketing.
